Gobblin’ Kings of the Rings Part 3 – You’re A Wizard, Nekt

The party swaps around skills and allies before they head off. The Tower of Light is in sight, and they’re near the end of their adventure. There’s still some deadly hordes in their way, and who knows what waits inside?

Also some shop talk and feedback in the end, since it’s basically the first long-term playtest for Gobblin’.

Gobblin’ Kings of the Ring Pt 2: We Found Talking Meat

The crew continues their overcrowded quest for what may or may not save goblinkind while picking up some new (playtesting) characters. More monsters and more idiocy will block their path as well as a master of terrible, terrible riddles.

Cocklords Part 5: The Climax (finale)

The party has reached Gooch, the town at the edge of the Western Sphere. Lord Phallus’ castle is in sight. Delryn has a demon in his body. The conspiracy will be resolved one way or another, but even if it is, there are more problems to be dealt with.

Cocklords Part 4: Probing Questions

The mystery of the missing Cocklord Phallus is beginning to present itself. Delryn fell in battle and the party has to consider what to do with him and the spirit that now shares his body. A lot of soul-searching, weighing of options, and testing of character is required before they strike out for the last leg of their journey: a castle of one of the most powerful men in the land guarded by a traitor.

Shorter episode due to an interruption, but a real character episode.

Cocklords Part 3: Riding the Rod

The three heroes (with one strangely quiet because we were short a player but wanted to move along) proceed down the long road of The Great Rod to find out more about the mysterious attack on the wedding party of Lady Boner and the unusual absence of her would-be husband, the Cocklord Phallus. Scrote and Delryn dig up several new clues indicating just what may be happening, but there are others who aren’t pleased about what they discover.

Cocklords Part 2: The Curse of the Bone Zone

Given the political care involved in the attack from earlier, the crew of loyal and phallicly named heroes are given discreet orders to proceed to Lord Phallus, Cocklord and suspected traitor for reasons unknown. The group must travel all the way down The Great Rod in order to reach the Western Sphere, and he or other dangers could be anywhere on the path. Unfortunately, they’re also traveling with some unexpected company: some living, some not.

Players

Lady Dieza Nought (Max) – The Fighter. A grim crusader of the Cocklords, disgraced over a misunderstanding and doing whatever slaughter or gruntwork needs to be done for her lords with little to no mercy. Wields a massive spiked ball and chain she calls the Buster Ball.

Delryn Tayghbag (Ryan).– The Arcane Duelist.  Bastard son of an unknown Cocklord, he relies on style, charm, quick thinking, and a mystical skill with his sword to dispatch the enemies of Cocklord Richard.

Inquisitor Gonnorheus Scrote (Drew) – The Immolator. A potentially mad pyromancer, the scarred, vigilant, and paranoid mage was touched by a dark taint in his past. Rather than succumb to it, he bound its magic in fire, which he uses in the name of the Cocklords to purge the tainted and the wicked.

Cocklords Pt 1: Thrust Into Danger

Based on an old, self-imposed dare, I finally bring you after years of planning: Cocklords! HONESTLY one of the most serious games I could ever run.Think straight-faced Game of Thrones, except that every thing, person, and location possible is named after a synonym for genitalia (dropping the pretense of most medieval society, frankly). King Freud founded the kingdom of Domepeace, but when he died, he named no heir. His five sons warred until Lord Boner turned to necromancy, drawing on the tainted powers of the southern regions. The four others united against him, banishing their evil brother and joining to rule the land together as the Cocklords under the symbol of the rooster.

Our players are knights of the new Cocklords generations later, and all invited to attend the celebratory feast in the name of Cocklord Phallus and the granddaughter of the once disgraceful Lord Boner, Lady Boner. If the controversy and the judging dinner conversation doesn’t get our heroes, then the uninvited pirates and sea monsters just might!

Disney Villains Victorious Pt 3: Get Kronked

The party has broken into the throne room of Empress Yzma the First and Last, usurper, tyrant,  and overall supervillain. A handful of pirates, a llama, and a rogue golem at their side, the party has to think fast or… nah, too late. Punches, knives, acid, brainwashing chemicals and magic swords are already flying. Even if they can bring a stop to her mad reign, who will take over the kingdom in her place? And what will it take to pry her claws from the throne?

Disney Villains Victorious Ep 2 : Everything The Light Doesn’t Touch

Gustav, Rutabaga, and Aideen enter Yzmopolis, the thriving and horribly, magically polluted city of the Sunless Empire. Empress Yzma’s grasp on everything they see is clear, but first, they’re going to need some allies and some pixie dust. Then they get to punch some robots and talk to a Patrick Warburton character.

Disney Villains Victorious Ep 1: Make American Colonies Great Again

so a bit of a story to this one, on several fronts.

The Game: Disney: Villains Victorious. A pet project from 4chan on an alternate Disney universe. A dark alternate world of Disney, spanning a globe  where the villains of all the Disney movies have won. Governor Ratcliffe’s bloodline rules the Virginia Colonies where the Native Americans are a vulnerable and near-extinct presence, Queen Ursula terrorizes any who dare to cross the seas, and Judge Frollo leads a righteous crusade against the sadistic fairies of Malificent’s lands and the non-believers of Jafar’s Agrabah. The heroes are missing, defeated, or worse, and the little folks are trampled underfoot in the wars and machinations of sadistic rulers. It’s up to a reindeer farmer, a questionably royal princess, and a loopy pilot from Wonderland to see if they can make a difference enough against gods, devils and twisted human beings to fix a whole world gone wrong.

Characters:

Gustav: a mountain of a man from the frigid lands of Erendelle. Reindeer farmer, folk hero, and friend to man and beast. Would rather make a friend than he would headbutt you to death (though he’s tough could do either). Gustav wanders the land selling his deer until he finds himself shipwrecked at the secluded castle in Ireland, where he makes two very distinct friends. He keeps a smile on his face, weights in his wristbands, and a tiny piece of a broken goddess in his belt.

Aideen: princess of Ireland… she thinks. She has a dented crown, a beat-up old sword, and a rundown castle to prove it… kinda. But she can sing, talk to animals, and communicate with/summon fae. And that’s what makes a real Disney princess, right? The fact that there’s no one left alive in Ireland (stuck right between the territory of Mor’du the demon bear and the Black Cauldron) to tell her otherwise. So when the rest of the party arrives, she dares to go out, see the world outside of her rundown castle, and try to get strong enough allies to free her land from the grasp of the terrors that live there.

Rutabaga: a shapeshifting, humanoid… character from Wonderland. Sent by the Queen of Hearts to fetch Alice and make things right in her homeland. Came crashing out of the sky riding a seagull, lending her talents Aideen and Gustav to fix their ship, fend off pirates, and… drink tea.

The Story of the Game: so this started as text game. Then we realized we all had mics at last, so we went to voice. Then we realized Dischord can record with some wrangling, so we decided to record it. So the short version is in pursuing their goals, they ended up in the Virginia Colonies, befriended some of the natives, and beat up the Big Bad Wolf in exchange for a room in a barn to sleep in. They met with the shaman of the tribes who agreed to clue them in on where Rudabaga could find Alice in exchange for removing the racist, tyrannical governor Ratcliffe from power. If you want more details, I kept a sort of log on the “official” forums for the game.
