Mithril Chef Part 3

The adventuring chefs get their appliance-golem back online and strike out for their final task: the sweetest sweet they can find. This takes them up the Mocha River, and they have to fight their way through some more nasty locals. Hilarity and bloodshed ensues.

“Some local jobs completed, Our heroes return to finish off some things for the night. Dat World! – Episode 2: Local Jobs

Dat World! – Episode 1: The Legend of Gerald

So here’s the skinny on this campaign I’m running for the “Grumblehammer” crew. My Goals for this were as follows: (1) Running a “fantastical” fantasy, one that is more light hearted than the common serious “Tolkein-esque” campaigns my friends have run when I first started playing. I want to run something that can be silly with some cool moments. I also like being rather meta or contemporary so I want to throw in all manner of ideas and even monsters and characters straight out of all walks of fiction and mythology. Effectively this campaign will be fairly “Pratchett-esque” in feel and vibe (the hope anyhow). (2) I also want to make a bug a feature, that is, player side chatter. Jokes and tangents can ruin the mood of a “serious” setting as it distracts from the themes, I plan to incorporate that with this, by using it for inspiration in this setting of fantasy, which the first session is certainly is a good example of.

With that out of the way, hope any who check this out enjoy! Comments and critiques of GMing and otherwise are welcome as always.

Chris – GM

Aaron – Balthazar Romanov a Frontier Wizard

Nathan – Sabrina a Teenage Witch

Dat World!

“Teuflemire Island, a land of amazing magic, fantastical creatures and ridiculous references. Where our heroes etch out a living finding jobs, taking names and prospecting the crawling dungeons that pop straight outt’a the ground. So check it, It’s not Dis World, it’s Dat World! This is DJ Architect singing out…”

“Our Heroes, a young teenage witch and her bat familiar and an incredibly handsome arcane shop owner, have begun their adventures. A local legendary beast seems to be responsible for a missing supply caravan and the duo take it upon themselves to find him and see what can be recovered. Little do they know what may come of this or the legends they’ll make themselves…”

Familiar Aliens: The Dogmen Cometh Pt2

The conclusion to this little playtest, as the group descends into the underground lair of the Dogmen, will they find out what’s truly going on? Or will they just punch and blast there way through this mystery… you probably know the answer.

Familiar Aliens: The Dogmen Cometh Pt1

Asterfalls is a small Manitoba town off the Trans-Canada Highway. Your average town really, save for the fact that it is a hotbed for UFO sightings and strange goings on. Of late, a series of minor break-ins and thefts have occurred, getting the attention of our group of kids with secrets. What has come to Asterfalls and what will our crew find?

This is a two-part one-shot playtest of Monsters and Other Childish Things with a setting I came up with that focus’s the theme to aliens and conspiracy theories for monster or weirdness creation. It was fun, hope anyone listening thinks so too! This is Part 1.

Crazon – GM

Greg – Annie Bissette and P-Rex (Penusaurus Rex is her alien friend…)

Eli – Geoffery Crawford the Roboy (Has a swarm of alien Nanites integrated within him)

Toku – Draco Grey  the Reptilian (A Reptoid living with his adopted parents)

Fellowship In Space pt 5 : Clash With the Titans

Fellowship IN SPACE part 5! The team reaches the sector full of the order of pirates,  teaching the captain and agreeing to help him defend their sector from the incoming Titans before they’re wiped off the map. The party is just one Star, a mechanic, and a bodyguard, so they’re left with little to do… unless they can employ the plans they stole for a Titan in some surprising ways.

Wrongclocks – Mithril Chef Pt 1

Dungeon World game set in a world where monster cuisine is creating a
huge subculture. Every year, the fat and wealthy king holds a cooking
tournament with some odd rules and amazing rewards:
-the tournament takes place inside Zelgig’s Cabinet, the colossal food cupboard of some
forgotten god or wizard where everything has become huge and deadly.
Deserts of scalding pizza, oceans of soup with giant, hungry tuna fish,
and honey bears made of actual honey.

-members can enter as parties or teams of chefs, warriors, sauciers, waiters and the like

-the best dish matching the king’s requested themes is the winner
-all cooking has to be done with whatever you can obtain or kill for yourself

-once you’re inside, anything between the parties is fair game
so when a monster hunter (Alex), a fire mage (Sean), and their replaceable minion of an
appliance (Eli) enter Zelgig’s Cabinet, they’ll have to survive long enough to
make a tasty dish. Sort of Toriko meets Cloudy With A Chance of
Meatballs
