So here’s the skinny on this campaign I’m running for the “Grumblehammer” crew. My Goals for this were as follows: (1) Running a “fantastical” fantasy, one that is more light hearted than the common serious “Tolkein-esque” campaigns my friends have run when I first started playing. I want to run something that can be silly with some cool moments. I also like being rather meta or contemporary so I want to throw in all manner of ideas and even monsters and characters straight out of all walks of fiction and mythology. Effectively this campaign will be fairly “Pratchett-esque” in feel and vibe (the hope anyhow). (2) I also want to make a bug a feature, that is, player side chatter. Jokes and tangents can ruin the mood of a “serious” setting as it distracts from the themes, I plan to incorporate that with this, by using it for inspiration in this setting of fantasy, which the first session is certainly is a good example of.
With that out of the way, hope any who check this out enjoy! Comments and critiques of GMing and otherwise are welcome as always.
